Weight loss through body detoxification
Good health is within everyone’s grasp. It takes only a little will power and the right detox choices to turn your body into a fat burning machine. Our bodies work in wondrous ways and by understanding the dynamics of how it work, makes it simple and easy for you to detox and lose weight.
Each and every day your liver and other organs work hard to remove naturally created toxins from your body, but it’s also very busy removing unnatural toxins which are added daily by what we eat. The more we pollute our bodies with unhealthy food, the harder it has to work and the less energy is available for us to use. A detox will help your body and lift the burden on your organs by removing toxins fast and effectively.
An effective Detox is done in the following way:
Drink Water: Water is essential to your body as it makes out more than 60% of your body’s weight. Every single cell in your body depends on water to survive. Water carries nutrients to your cells and helps to flush out toxins in your organs. Too little water leads to dehydration and exhaustion. Make sure to replace the water your body looses daily through perspiration and urine.
Enough Exercise: Increased blood flow improves circulation of water to the necessary organs. Exercise burns fat and toxins are removed from your body through sweating. Whether your enjoy running, walking, cycling or any other active sport, make time to get enough exercise every day. Getting your heart rate up kick starts your metabolism and improves the function of your lungs.
Food to Avoid: Try to consume as little as possible carbohydrates. This includes pasta, bread, potatoes and refined sugary foods. Because carbohydrates are easier to burn and turn into energy, your body will first burn the carbohydrates instead of burning your body’s own fat. Excess carbohydrates will also get stored as fat. Your body works much harder burning its own fat resources and avoiding carbohydrates will force your body to start burning the fat cells and release it as energy.
Vegetables: Whichever color of type, vegetables should be eaten every day and wherever possible, uncooked. Vegetables are easily digested, fill your stomach and contain essential vitamins and minerals.
Fish: Try to reduce your intake of red meat. Stick to chicken and most importantly fish. Fish is rich in omega 3 fatty acids that contributes to the health of your brain, reduces the risk of heart disease and supplies your body with protein which makes you feel fuller for longer.
Legumes: These include beans, peas, and lentils and are a great source of protein and fibre. Fibre is important in maintaining good health as it aids the digestive system. They are usually low in fat and rich in anti-oxidants.
Nuts: Also high in protein, nuts take away your hunger pangs and protect your heart against disease. Studies have found that people who eat nuts regularly have a healthier metabolism and lower blood pressure.
Alcohol: Avoid alcohol consumption during a body detox. Alcohol acts as a diuretic and dehydrates your body. It also prevents your liver from breaking down your food and absorbing important nutrients as the liver sees the alcohol as priority to break down.
Following a healthier lifestyle is a mind set and requires a little will power, however the changes on your body is so fantastic that you would want to stick to it for as long as you live.
