Natural Ways To Detox

Natural ways to detox should always include changing your diet. This is important to help regulate your bowel movements, and help pass more toxins from your body.

Remove any foods which contain processed sugars, hydrogenated fats, preservatives, additives, and other chemicals or highly processed foods. Stay away from all of the artificial sweeteners completely. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, and include a variety from each color group every day to ensure you are getting the maximum nutrients and antioxidants. Grain may be eaten in moderation once or twice a day, but avoid grains which are not processed. Eat a lean portion of fish once every day or two, as well as a handful of seeds and nuts daily, and these will provide needed protein. Use extra virgin olive oil, instead of using margarine or butter when you are cooking. Use seed oils which have been cold pressed for other food requirements. Dried fruits should be avoided because everything in the fruit becomes concentrated, including anything added during the growing and drying process.

Natural ways to detox include plenty of water to prevent dehydration. Many people start off their detox with a fast which includes only water, or just fruit juices and water. Fasting for twenty four hours will not harm you as long as you have no medical condition which would be affected, but it is always a good idea to check with your doctor before you start a fast. Once you know it is safe to fast, decide whether you just want to include water or both water and fruit and vegetable juices. If you want to include juices, avoid any citrus juice. Instead drink apple, cranberry, grape, spinach, carrot, and others which are made from fresh fruits and vegetables.

Natural ways to detox should always include exercise, because when you get exercise regularly your body is more able to eliminate toxins, plus you stay healthy and physically fit. Change your diet, drink plenty of water every day, get plenty of exercise regularly, and do not fast for more than twenty four to thirty six hours at the most.
