It is always advisable to start and end any diet with plenty of water. Not only does water give you a feeling of fullness, but it also plays an extremely important role in helping your liver remove and wash away toxins. Exercise is very important during a detox as toxins are removed from your body via your sweat glands and excreted through your skin. Relaxing in a herbal or steam bath can contribute to your detoxification process. Try to drink plenty of herbal teas like green tea and ginger tea as both these herbs cleanse your body and improve metabolic processes.
Although it is often hard to avoid sweets and refined foods, your body will gradually get used to you new lifestyle and cravings will disappear.
