Body Detoxification Methods

There are many body detoxification methods available that can help you cleanse and clear unwanted toxins and waste from your body.

The methods you choose should be based on your personal preferences and comfort level. Changes in the way you live, including excluding alcohol, caffeine, cigarettes, other forms of tobacco, recreational drugs, and other changes can help your body eliminate any toxins that have accumulated much faster, without requiring as much effort. When toxins build up your liver, kidneys, colon, and other organs have to work harder, and this can cause them to become less efficient and wear out faster. This can be avoided with detox methods by helping these organs eliminate waste more efficiently and effectively.

Body detoxification methods should always include an abundance of water, because this nutrient is essential to good health and the waste elimination process. Without this life sustaining fluid you will dehydrate, and this will also make it harder to flush out any poisons and garbage. Fresh vegetables and fruits in their raw form, preferably of the organic variety with no chemical or pesticide residue, should be eaten as the major part of your food intake, with seeds and nuts added, as well as small portions of fish. Stay away from processed sugars and other foods that have extensive processing or cooking, because this causes the food to lose almost all nutritional value.

Body detoxification methods can include using a sauna or steam bath. This can help open up your pores and assists the toxins to leave your body. A hot tub can also be a relaxing and cleansing way to clear out your body. Acupressure and acupuncture have also shown some beneficial results when used with other detox methods. Finding the right combination of methods to help you quickly and effectively detox is simply a matter of researching methods until you find ones that fit. Fasting is used by some people during the first part of the detox program, to jump start the elimination and give your organs a break, but you should always get the advice of your doctor before following a fast to make sure it will not adversely affect your health.
